Consistency
beats perfection.

Many people start training with a perfect plan.
Five sessions a week.
An hour and a half each.
A diet measured to the gram.

Two weeks later, life happens.
Work gets busy, a child gets sick, a rainy week comes along.
The perfect plan falls apart and motivation goes with it.

The problem isn't you. It's the plan.

A plan that only works when everything goes right isn't a good plan.
Training has to fit your real life, with your hours, your tiredness and the unexpected.

That's why I like to think like this:

Focus on what you can keep doing.

Realistic goals plus small wins add up to goals reached.

Fewer shortcuts, more consistency

There are no shortcuts in training.
Results that last come from many normal sessions, done with a plan, week after week.

Three good sessions a week for a year are worth far more than one month of enthusiasm followed by six months off.
It's simple maths.
And it's what I see happen, year after year, with the people I coach.

Training better isn't training more

More volume doesn't always mean more results.
Sometimes it just means more fatigue.

Training better means choosing the right exercises for your goal.
Doing them with good technique.
Progressing gradually, with control.
Training with purpose.

Rest is part of training too

Some people feel guilty about taking a day off.
They shouldn't.

It's during recovery that your body adapts to the work you did.
Sleeping well, eating well and respecting rest days are as much a part of the process as the training itself.

Recovery is progress too.
